What does this mean...Assert in LSP?

Hi, this box keeps coming up, it says:

    "Assert in LSP
    g_socket_date.Lookup(s) = = 0
    capture/lsp/nolsp/wsp_patches.cpp:1273"

And then there are three options to click on:

    "Abort, Retry, or Ignore"

I have to click Ignore several times for the box to disappear without coming back...for a while.

What is this and how can I get rid of this from happening?

Not 100% for sure, LSPs are your layer socket providers and are needed by TCP/IP to communicate in Windows.

I've seen a reference to Google Desktop...do you have this, and can you try removing it and testing?

    Hi Adrynalyne,

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. Yes I do have Google Desktop, and I'll try removing...What do you mean about "testing"?

P.S. OK when I go to remove it, it gives me the option "Keep indexes in case I want to install Google Desktop again" Should I keep them or remove them too?

Up to you. I meant testing as in, see if the error goes away.
