Hey I am looking to buy a used computer and this is what I am looking at:

"hello have a fast pc here, freshly built, it includes a brand new ecs skt 775 motherboard, 3 gig p4 with 2 mb cache and hyperthreading , a huge masscool heatpipe cpu cooler ,a gig of nanya 533 ddr2 ram with 4-4-4-12 timing , 160 gig western digital harddrive-7200 rpm -8 mb cache, a dvd burner, 430 watt ernermax power supply, a brand new zotac nvidia 256 mb 7300gt pcie video card a 19 inc dell /trinitron crt moniter does up to 1600x1200 resultion , mouse with scroll wheel and a keyboard , speakers and ofcourse a fresh and legal copy of xp home with disc and cod sticker.

The motherboard , cpu cooler , video card and 80 mm rear fan are brand new and i have the boxes and driver cd . The motherboard has usb2,lan,multi channel sound ,pcie, sata. The video card has dvi, vga and s video out. The harddrive and the dvd burner are only a yr old. software includes winxp home all updated, open office, avg anti virus, shampoo dvd burning software and km dvd player"

That sounds fine and dandy but I really have no idea what any of it means. So if someone could put it into ignorant simpleton terms that would be great. Basically rate the speed, memory capacity, gaming capability (not gonna be doing hardcore gaming btw), etc. Oh and if you could include what you'd pay for it that would be great but it's not needed. Thanks for looking and sorry if I posted in the wrong section.

Well, this was a decent machine back in the day and the poster seems to know his stuff, like he built it. I would make sure that I could go to Windows update without getting a "not Genuine Windows' message, have the guy open up his case and make sure everything is there and read up on the cooling etc. so that you have an idea at what you're looking at and bring an Everest disk with you to double check against his specs. As to price, I can't comment on that. Good luck!:)
