What does this mean?
Do I have to associate extentsions with IrfanView?

 

Its asking you what files you want to be automatically opened by irfanview. So, if you double click a .jpg, it will open irfanview, rather than, say, Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop.

 

Oh... okay. I don't have to associate extentions right?

I think you have to go and check something in this box unless you don't want anything to open in Irfanview...what do you want to use the program for?

 

I just want to mess around with it, to see how it works.

But everytime I open a .jpeg or whatever I don't want Irfanview to open.

 

In that case, don't check the boxes

 

thats cool, just don't check anything. when you want to look at something with it, either right-click - open with, or open irfanview, and drag-n-drop.
