Hello, Can anyone tell me why Windows won't let me install an educational program on my desktop, & how to ? The message I'm getting is " ......,exe is not a valid win32 application". Plz advise, Thank you much

Can you let us know your Windows version and is it upto date?
What is the software you are installing and is it compatible with the version of Windows you have?

Part issues in the message you are getting is corrupt file (re-download, if sorignally downloaded), or security application blocks it, if you trust the software, right click the setup exe and choose Run as Administrator and see if that works.

This usually happens when you try to install a program which is not compatible with the version of Windows and the programmer didn't include code to check the Windows version.

Let me start with the obvious: Are you sure this is a Windows program (as opposed to a Mac or Linux program)?

It's possible that the file is corrupt, and that's why Windows doesn't recognize it. If it came from an archive file (Zip, 7z, RAR, etc.), then use an archive manager (7-Zip, PeaZip, WinZip, etc.) to test the archive and make sure it's valid.

The thread starter last posted in 2015 and at the time was using an XP computer.
If the OP is using the same computer and recently downloaded an "educational program", I'm guessing it is not compatible with XP.

We won't know until the OP identifies the exact program that fails to install.
