i allways here people talking about highjacking their home page or whatever.
and ther is programs out there like highjack this to stop it from happening

but honestly i am not sure what it is.
at first i thought it would be that thingy adware does where it changes your default IE page, so that every time you get online you go to their homepage

but i am thinking that is not what it is cause all you have to do to solve that is go into IE properties and change your homepage back to what you want it to be.

it actually never happens to me at all and i have no "highjack this" type of software programs at all.
    so ...... what is it?

Typically it is the changing of your home page as well as being forced to go to their website at intervals.

let me see.... it seems like allot of people have this problem
i think i was "hijacked" one time years ago on dial up. i changed it back and that was that.

i am through a router, use ad-aware, and a software firewall
    delete cookies pretty reg.

so i just don't see a need for any hijack protection programs.

i guess it would be a good idea to back up my registry though incase someone fools with it.
