what happened to my usb?

gotta problem, my com decided it wasn't well, so I re-formatted, only to find that my idiot com has forgotten where it put the usb ports and my floppy drive. According to the device manager, all the stuffs working properly, but I can't use any device that uses a usb port or the floppy drive. I've updated drivers, hardware, re-formatted a second time, an it's still ****ed.
HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!
Any insight would be most appreciated.....

So you are saying that the device manager is clear? No yellow exclamation marks? What devices are you trying to use specifically via USB? Is your floppy USB? Do you have USB on your motherboard or are you using a PCI card? Please give me more information about everything in your system.

 

Is it a card or a plug in. If it is a plug in make use it didn't come undone on the mainboard. Let me know how that helps

 

thanks for the input,but i got it sorted,i swore and shouted at the comp i even cried and in the end i called an I.T. support line and they talked me thru it,so its true my mum always said i was a retard,but as a child i didnt believe her,........ ta again. s.stranger
