I am ordering a Dual Monitor new PC.

My kids want to watch & Record TV on one screen and I would like to work with my PC using the second screen.

Can somebody please explain what extra hardware & software do I need to order in new PC ?

Also I have a choice of two video cards namely :

    128MB PCIe(TM)x16 NVIDIA(R) GeForce(R) 8300GS w/TV-Out, VGA & DVI
    256MB PCIe(TM)x16 NVIDIA(R) GeForce(R) 8600GT w/TV-Out & Dual DVI

The 256 MB is more than twice in price.

I am not a gamer but I do analyze stocks charts with live streaming data with graphic software.

So do I need 256 MB or 128 MB would do ?

    Thank You.

You'd be best off getting a tv tuner pci card - that way you can just plug an aerial straight in and go from there - simple!
