What ia Msg

I am getting a pop up when windows loads telling me that I have the latest version of Msg, just wanted to know what it is and how to get rid of it.

We need more info than that. When does the popup occur, what is the title, can we get a screenshot, does it happen in Safe Mode?

 

It pops up when I start windows just after I enter my password, stating that I have the latest version of Msg. I don't know what Msg is.

I take it that it is something to do with Microsoft messenger, but I do not use it on any of my comps or phone, looks like I will have to get the ferret out to find it.

Or find a way to disable it. Initially, when I started using XP Pro, I used to get those annoying "IP ads" and had to disable Windows Messaging Service to get rid of them.

 

Just an update, it eventually disappeared all on it's own.
