WOW! I couldn't help but see this post-- LOL! While I cannot comment here on Kazaa, the last line of the warning:
is suspicious of someone wanting to sell you something... If you put your cursor (mouse) on that, does it want to jump to a link? I don't think anyone gets a warning before they are investigated, so don't panic. Someone who knows more than I do will come along soon, but until then, try these two apps:
    http://www.majorgeeks.com/download2471.html & http://www.majorgeeks.com/download2859.html .

    What OS are you using?

I am using windows Xp... I think it is just someone trying to sell me something because not on that line but there are two links below it... The links say... Click here to protect yourself now and then click here for guaranteed anonymous surfing. The link is for both of them http://216.131.78.241/cgi-bin/file.cgi?id=592708

    Anthology08,
Yep! This company "Clean Space 8" could have a deal with Kazaa... There is a tool to remove the spyware from Kazaa but I've never used Kazaa so I don't know where it is. A Major Geeks search or a Google search should pull it up. Also, have you disabled all unneeded services in XP? Here's a good guide: http://www.blackviper.com/WinXP/servicecfg.htm (I use the "SAFE" configuration.)

Gee, I'll bet that was frightening! ;)

    Take care,
    Gina

Thank you so much! Yeah, It was pretty crazy, but then I thought it was just a pop thing... But I just wanted to make sure. I have used kazaa Lite (supposedly no spyware) for awhile and I have used the spyware remover thing too. Alright well I will check that "SAFE" configuration. But what do you mean about the unneeded sevices? Thank you so much for your help! Thanks for the spyware programs too!

    G.T. R.I.P February 4, 2007. You will be missed.

In particular, Gina was probably referring to the "Messenger" service that WinXP has, (NOT MSN Messenger program). It is made to allow network admins to send messages to users on a network, but has been used by spammers to send spam messages to users over the internet, even if a browser isn't open. It's listed in that Black Viper Services Guide that Gina gave you a link to.

    Anthology08,
Nothing fancy by "unneeded services," just background services (like Messenger) that could be running in Windows XP that you don't necessarily need. When I first installed XP I would go to my computer and see sales' pop-ups on my screen almost daily until I used Black Viper's configurations! There are certain ports of communication that XP will open that allow an attacker access to your computer. Also, I strongly recommend going to the Windows Update site on a regular basis (just read everything before you decide to download.) I think you (and your computer) will be much much happier for it. :)

Glad I could be of service, I've been a victim of this too! ;) It's frightening when it's happening to you.

    Take care,
    Gina
    :)
