I was just wondering if I could get some recomendations on a good registry cleaner program. I would prefer a free one but it is not necessary. I was looking at the list on this site but there are so many I would like some recomendations. Thanks

May I suggest you use the search function, or go to the linked threads at the bottom of the page; this topic has been frequently discussed here.

+1 on CCleaner. As BCGray said, make sure you do a backup when prompted.

I like CCleaner also, but Wise Registry Cleaner is cool too... it's very thourough and lists items as either 'Safe to Delete' or 'Not Safe/Unknown'....
I like it. BUT- BE CAREFUL CLEANING THE REGISTRY!!! Be sure to back up the registry first (both CCleaner and Wise allow you to do this). I've seen registries cleaned 'to death' resulting in a trashed Windows....
