So I am looking for a good wireless N router, that operates in the 2.4 and 5.0Ghz range with some ethernet ports (doesnt need to be gigabit). It needs to have good range and throughput and able to maintain a connection.

Any recommendations? I see alot of mixed reviews on Newegg and I am not sure what I should buy as there are so many options. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

I got a Linksys WRT150N, (not sure if it supports 5Ghz tho) for about $50 on ebay, flashed it with the dd-wrt v24 firmware and have been more than happy, have only had to reboot it once in the last year.

The dd-wrt firmware is great in that it gives you far more options to tune things, QOS, transmit power and other advanced functions normally reserved for the more expensive commercial type routers.

dd-wrt is compatible with lots of hardware, it can turn a cheap consumer grade router into something quite powerful.
you can check their site out here

disclaimer: I am not in any way related to dd-wrt & do bear in mind that doing this will void your warranty

I have seen mixed reviews about that model and the 3XX models. I have heard about the DD-WRT firmwares havent tried them myself though. Any other suggestions? I would rather not flash the router but I dont mind.
