What is a Net

    People on the game i play always say get a net when i complain about lag in the game what is a net?

    I am a gamer and i see a lot of lag in the game i play when i mention it to other players they say get a net. But i don't know what a net is can anyone tell me?


    Also, is there a way to stop people from hacking in the game i play?

    They are talking about the .NET framework, a vital part of Windows. You can get updates by doing a google search on ".net downloads" for your Windows version.

    As for stopping hackers, no, you personally can't do that.

    i think that may mean network
    you said you get lag
    then you may need a better ntework which serves you a faster connecting speed

    Hi

    Net is indeed short form for network, but in gaming they will also be meaning the "internet" which depending on the service you have could be quick or slow in bandwidth/speed, for instance if you have broadband at say 20mb/s then your likely to play online games ok, but if you have DialUp then likely not.

    Lag or more so Latency to give it the proper name, is more so how quick that a specific routing or route to a server can take, each node (step or hop) that you take to get from your PC to a specific server can have varying degrees of latency (Lag) this small minute lag can affect online gaming as the game may not refresh as quick as it would on a physical PC and cause you to be killed in the game.

    Dont know what they mean about "get a net" as that doesnt mean much, so get them to explain in detail what they are referring too?

    BTW what is the ISP and speed you are paying for? what is the game? and what Windows version you using?

    The game i play is wolf team by aeria games. I have cable modem and highspeed internet through direct tv...

    I appreciate the info giving. Thanks for all the help :)

    Isp direct tv upload/download 256kb paying $33 bucks a month game is wolfteam by aeria games, tons of hackers there and glitches using windows vista
