what is better nvidia fx5200 or ati 9200se, Plz help!!

Hi Im looking for a budget card and I dont want to spend more than $70 (US). Keep in mind that the computer im going to put it in has NO AGP slot! So I have to resrt to PCI. Which card would you recommend?

The cards are fairly equal. The 5200 scored better on some games, and the 9600 SE scored better on others. Find the games you like to play and decide from there.

In the pure benchmark (Aquamark 3) the 9600SE scored almost twice as well as the 5200.

Doh, you said 9200 rather than 9600. Yeah, definitely go for the FX 5200.

 

i'd say that the 5200 would be better than the 9200. the 5200 has the potential of being much faster than the 5200. but seriously, you should consider the cards on this page:
