What is BlindDial=Dword what, who, where do I?

    Hi just a ( I hope) an easy question? I've searched all over the internet including Microsoft, about a locked registry file named blindDial=Dword000, I've found it in a few other machines, No one seems to know if it's a required file or what it is? Anyone know where I can go to find out more?

    It has to do with your modem being able to detect a dial tone. ( This assumes that you are using dial up for your internet connection. )

    Hi and thanks for that, not using dial up, something pre-loaded for future use type thing? And are your feelings about it not being something I need to worry about?
