I've been getting the error msg seen in my jpg attachment. I don't know if this failed Win7 update is part of the problem as well, but I can't get KB976932 Win7 Update to install either. I have a device that's using the dll in the jpg, and I've uninstalled it several times. I have no idea what's causing the error. PLEASE HEP ME!

KB976932 is Windows 7 Service Pack 1, the last and only service pack for Win 7. Without that you will also be missing possibly hundreds of other Windows 7 updates. Rectifying your error in this situation is impossible. You need to reinstall Win 7 from scratch.

    Hey Max,

I ran the SF Scan command, and it showed no integrity violations. The only reason I'm running it is because Win7 Ult. Win Update said it needed it. My install disk didn't have the SP1 on it. Did you look at my error in the jpg? That's my main concern. If they're connected, I don't know how. I'm not versed at all on issues that deep in the weeds. Thanks much for helping, but please don't leave me stranded out here. I've got a brand new $500 device that is nothing but a door stop until I get this issue fixed. I've already written the mfr support, but they're only saying I need to run Win Update. I'm writing them again to see if they can give me anymore indepth info.

    Thanks,
    GPL

Well try the windows update troubleshooter.
Windows Update would have been telling you to install that Service Pack 1 update all the time from 6 years ago.
Try a manual download and install if Windows Update Troubleshooter doesn't work.

EDIT: Yes, you may have to do what Earthling suggests - a clean fresh reinstall. Make sure you know your OS Product key first.

I'm a bit confused. Your Signature says you're running Win 7 Enterprise but, in your post #4 you mention Win 7 Ultimate. Which are you running?

Have you checked the hard drive? Very often, when a hard drive has a bad sector, it will throw up this missing dll window.
You could try running CHKDSK /R,
If it dos fix the hard drive (if it has the problem )it may happen again, if the hard drive has a fault.
I tend to try some weird ways, but when I had this problem on a drive, I used my favourite free tool- Mini partition Wizard, and created a second partition, by strinking the C: partition, with mini partition wizard, and then reinstalling on thee new partition-worked for ages that way.
