You've all hear me go on about my Minecraft lagg.
Well, I still have that problem, and I shouldn't.

    What I've done:

    • Replaced the whole machine, I have my buddy's old computer that we know works with Minecraft, since he used to use it to play just fine.

    • Tested and replaced my network cable with one that we know works, I tested it myself.

The only thing left would be my router, but my brother connects through that router to access Hamachi then back to his router to connect to our server. Our one friend connects through that router also to access the server. We've tried different ports on the router itself to no avail.

I'm completely at a loss. I need some opinions, and/ or suggestions as to what to do.

    Hi, Spock96...

Looks like a good tweak cipher posted there - I'm going to try that one, myself.

You might also look at the DPC Latency Checker which might point to any causes if you're seeing dropouts.

Just thought of something/ realized this.
My Ethernet cable runs behind my mother's desk and past her Sub, on her speakers on it's way to the router.
    Could it be electro-magnetic interference?

Tried that and it's still the same.

Might run to GameStop and pick up one of those 100ft Ethernet cables for like $2 and bypass the one router.

Anything longer the 50 ft can cause significant reductions in speed and performance. I'm thinking it might have something to do with your server.

    Update:

I got a cable and bypassed the router that I was currently going into and it works now!!

Goldenskull I can't follow the rules

Speakers should not effect the cable cord mostly be cause they have insulation if it does not then yes it would i would try to reset your modem too clear out the cache in the modem and see if that helps if you are using wireless too. Then do the modem first then the wireless modem second.and see if this helps.

I would all ways try to reset modem first to see if that helps with the lag.
