What is System Requirements Lab software installed on my system?

I have recently noticed this software, System Requirements Lab, listed in installed software and I don't know How it got installed.

I have read that it is sometimes used in connection with computer games, perhaps to provide
compatibility information.

This is of no interest to me, so if it has no other value, I'll remove it.

You can safely remove it as it is only a tool to check to see if your system is compatible to play certian games.
