What is the best kareoke software?

What is the best open source kareoke software? I've seen some that does not allow you to see when to start/stop singing. Any suggestions? Thanks!

 

http://www.karaokecloud.com/ is good for singers, But are you looking for providing karaoke as a service or what? I mobile dj but haven't had many requested for karaoke yet.

 

i'm not going to be the DJ/MC or such, I have some friends that want the software like or favorite host uses so that they can practice at home. They want software that shows the words and the words change colors when they are supposed to be being sung. Just as you see when you're out singing karaoke in public. They say that they subscribed to karaoke cloud and were not pleased. Thanks!

 

the real software is usually really pricey, and i have only ever seen karaoke cloud recommended, sorry i couldn't be of more help. Good luck.

 

CompuHost, PCDJ Karaoki, Karma, ots, are all karaoke options discussed in a recent thread over at a dj forum i visited. The problem is your friends will need special versions of every song they wish to practice or sing. A CD+G version. Compuhost seems to have the highest like rate with the djs with karma in a close second.
