You're welcome. Are you running the cleaning procedure or did you resolve your problem?

To be honest with you I am still reading the cleaning procedure links. I am okay on most of this stuff but when it gets that heavy... I study. I did go into Regedit and found several entries for this URL and deleted them. I also managed to rid myself of Babylon and Glary Utilies (where the URL in question came from). I've done this procedure before with no problem and I am good to go so far. I do like what you presented but want to be comfortable with it all. Last question where in Northern NJ? ... that's where I am from originally.

As far as I know, that URL has nothing to do with Glary Utilities. Also Glary can be easily uninstalled via Add/Remove Programs.

A friend found the URL .exe file within his Glary Utilities folder. I don't know if something triggered it or not. I liked the Glary program so I uninstalled it and loaded it again.... yep there it was.... I uninstalled Glary again. So far so good with the small changes I've made. I am still going to try the cleaning procedure you suggested but it's a very active household here and it'll have to wait for some long term quiet time :)

I just installed Glary Utilities on a PC and I do not see a URL.exe file in their folder so I'm not sure what you are referring too. And I still don't think the problem you had with www v9 com had anything to do with Glary.

Hmmm... interesting... very well may be... look for a red oblong circle with a white V9 in it...maybe in one of the sub folders... then again who knows. I removed all references of it from my registry, took IE back to default settings, and re-installed Google Chrome, brought them all up to date with bookmarks etc. We're good to go. I really appreciate your hanging in there with me on this.... I am sure I'll be back :) Thanks again! The Shotglass.
