can someone pls. explain what those PIPES are above the stove? they come OUT of the wall but then go right back IN to it -- what good are they??

one of them looks like a gas HOOKUP, but the other makes zero sense to me. and they both seem to have a valve control at the end.

or is the left-most part (two balls touching), actually a funky HINGE, and the whole contraption is ONE line which PULLS OUT then? in which case...is it a WATER spigot?? above a STOVE?? isn't that super-dangerous?!

(and why would it need TWO cutoff valves then? line doesn't branch!)

btw, kudos to the poster who says s/he's pirating her show! lol. like telling someone what a pretty purse they have as u mug them....
