Anyone know what these Battlefield 2 files are for?

Those are shader optimizations that are created every time you change your graphic settings. According to Tweakguides you should make a final decision on your graphic settings and delete all of those files. Once that is done load a map with the new settings and exit the game. Defrag your hard drive and it is supposed to help decrease load times a little. Didn't help my load times much, but then again it can't hurt the load times either.
