What is up with GOM Player?

I tried to open a video with it earlier, and before it began playing the video, it told me that my DivX Movies shortcut would no longer work. I didn't try opening my DivX Movies folder (and, by the way, the shortcut does work). I tried opening a video with GOM Player. Why would it try to access DivX Movies?! And now I'm having a BIZARRE problem with it. I'm trying to open another video and it's telling me that my shortcut for GoogleEarth.exe is missing! What is going on?!

I did a full uninstall/reinstall, didn't help. And yep, Malwarebytes and Avast Anti-virus both tell me I have nothing to worry about.

I just tried uninstall/reinstall again and the problem seems to be gone for the time being. How might I fix the links problem though? Double-clicking on a video file should not bring up a box telling me it can't find Google Earth.

Oh the video did open with GOM Player, but as it was opening, a dialog box also popped up saying the shortcut for googleearth.exe couldn't be found.
