I was thinking about how stressfull Christmas was to people, and how it gets a lot of people down , but everyone must have a christmas highlight! You cant just say "presents" :) ( By Christmas I mean the days around Christmas ).

I would have to say mine is seeing my cousins on boxing day . There on my wavelength *chuckles and there all hyper from it being christmas , and all the chocolate and sweets !

Anyway everyone , get sharing your christmas highlights!

Ditto. Only it was an Xbox 360 cause he's 13 now. We told him there was no way we could afford one this Christmas - then I got a nice bonus at work, 2 weeks ago. He had been working and saving for it since he heard it was coming out, and almost had enough to get one - so it was a REAL surprise.

Seeing a houseful of people go back for seconds...I busted my a** to get that meal together...and it`s a good thing my girls were here too because noone else offered much assistance. I dunno how Ma managed to pull this off for so many years. Seeing the looks on the lil one`s faces when they opened gifts was sweet as well, but it always is.

My favorite highlight this year is as my Mom and I were finishing up dishes, I walked in the other room to see 4 generations of our family playing cards. My Grandpa, my Dad, my sister, and my daughter. My Grandpa is 85 now and starting to fail some. He taught my Dad to play, who in turn taught my sister, and I , and each of us taught our kids.
A lot of memories from those card games.
Lots of pictures taken yesterday, but I think that one will be my favorite for a long time.

Most of "Christmas" was spent flying home, but "Christmas" was all last week. Spent one day at Downtown Disney having dinner at a great restaurant with my parents and sister, then wandering around all the specialty stores with my sister and saw Narnia before heading home. (my parents aren't up to a whole day out, so they headed home after dinner). After the movie, there was live music all over the area, from contemporary groups to traditional carollers in 19th century costumes.

And Saturday was our official Christmas dinner with family and friends.

No matter how you slice it up, Christmas is about family, if you're blessed with a good family. :)

Spending last night (and most of today) with good friends, good food, good wine, and great conversation. Oh, and having friends who traditionally watch horror movies on Christmas...it's nice not to be thought of as a freak. :D

All three of my kids home at the same time, really like that. I could live without the rest of it if I had to, but like the kids home.
