What I've been up to lately...

I wasn't sure if this should go here or in the Lounge, but I think it works.

I think I may actually be starting my jewelry business up again. What the heck...I was having so much fun making Christmas presents, and there are 847 craft shows coming up...why not? Anyway, some of these are still in stock from before, but six or so of them are new creations. Just wanted to show off. :-D LOL

That is a really nice piece and it just sucks that stuff like that doesn't work out the greatest if you try to open a store or sell them. (atleast around here they don't) But still very nice!

 

Thanks very much! I'd forgotten how much I enjoy doing it, and since I can potentially make money as well, why not? Especially since all of the beads and findings I have still in stock I basically consider free right now since it's been so many years since I've done it. I used to do craft shows, but I sold more pieces simply by wearing them to the bar than anywhere else! LOL I also used to make stuff while travelling on planes (before the rules changed, of course) and trains...sold a ton of stuff that way as well.

What started with some Christmas presents for a 14-year-old, 12-year-old and 10-year-old might just get me enough extra cash that I could've afforded to buy them real presents! LOL

How pretty, Tibbs! I love your pieces, you are so creative. I just got into jewerly making a few months ago myself and I totally love it! its a fun and time consuming hobby. I've made jewerly for a few friends as presents because I couldnt afford real gifts and they loved them, although I'm the biggest critic and always find flaws with them. :-o

I just got my new beads in the mail and I cant wait to use them! :-D

Very nice, dyamond! I started as a hobby about 20 years ago, eventually turning it into a business, but I didn't have time to keep up with craft shows as well as all the other stuff I had going on so I let it go. I look at the flaws in mine as a signal that they are all entirely unique. :-D

 

In the week since I blew out my knee, I've added a ridiculous number of pieces to the inventory. :-D
