what kind of cable do i need?

    I have a lcd with a DVI-D WITH HDCP INPUT, and a card with a DVI-I , both say they are hdcp capable (whatever that means, or if it even works from what little i can understand).

    So what capable would I get to get the best quality with these inputs?

    HDCP is a type of digital copy protocol. More info is available here. I would think a regular DVI cable will work just fine. I think maybe you have HDCP mixed up with HDMI which has a different type of connector which almost looks like a SATA hard drive connector crossed with a bigger, flatter USB port. It look like this:
