    Hi. I apologize if this question has been asked and answered recently...I would like to purchase an external monitor for my HP Mini Netbook. It has a VGA connector. Will any monitor that connects with a VGA be compatible with my little netbook?

    Yes. I've attached a Samsung 17" LCD and and eMachines 20" wide LCD and my eeepc can use either with no problem.

    Let us know how it goes... I just came on here searching for this same kind of question/answer because my netbook* won't deliver the signal to my monitor** via the VGA connection.

    * Acer AspireOne

    ** veeeery old 19 or 21" CRT monitor that came with a Dell desktop PC back in 1998 or 1999

    I tested my HP netbook with a Dell LCD external monitor. As soon as I connected the VGA, it worked right away. No problems. Thank you all for your input.

    My netbook manual, says to use LCD not CRT so even if I had one in the house, I wouldn't have tried it.
