What Kind Of Wifi Do I Have? How Do I Update The Wifi Drivers?

I have wifi thing that hooks up to USB, I’m not sure what is is called or the make and model. How do I go about getting the make and model and updating the drivers?

The only thing it is showing there and device manager is Ralink Technology corp.

And in device manager it is showing Microsoft driver. When I click on update driver it showing search for driver on the computer or browse my computer it will not go on the internet and download the drivers from the manufacture.

No model or information on the wii fi card other than Ralink Technology corp.

So I cannot open up a web browser and search for the driver to download.

Note in device manager when I click on update drivers there is two options.

One is windows will search your computer for the best available drivers and install it on your device.

Option two browse my computer for drivers. Locate and install drivers manually

Looking at the device ID in device manager it is saying.

USB\VID_148F&PiD_7601&REV_0000

USB\VID_148F&PiD_7601



It shows as old dongle for windows vista and windows 7. The drivers are for windows vista and windows 7.

But this is windows 10 computer.

Depending on age, if it is an older usb wifi dongle/adapter there may not be any actual window's 10 drivers for it. If it is working, I would not mess with it. It will not increase the speed, it either works or it dont.
