What level protection for surge protector?

    Just trying to get an update on what strength surge protection, and good sources for multi plug in surge protectors for laptops, desktops, smartphones?
    Any ideas? Just put out too much money for stuff lately and now want to protect the stuff I got.

    Actually Radio Shack has plenty of surge protectors that will handle multiple plug ins as well as phone lines and modems. Good prices as well. Not sure what all you need to protect, but most will come with a guarantee if they fail. :major

    On top of what TimW, states, I'd also look into a decent UPS. I currently use two APC backups XS 1300 for my setup. Yes, indeed two.
