And why do you use it?

Real, not the memory hog MP is and files are sharable between systems easier when burning CDs.

It is possible toplay MP file in RA also. Even streaming radio.

 

I voted WMP too. If you are going to use it, I recommend downloading windows media 9 because it has a lot better sound quality and more features. But that's just my opinion.

 

Flea is right I like version 9 a whole lot better its got more features and sounds betta

 

MusicMatch Jukebox 8.1 Pro. Great ripping abilities, including the newer MP3PRO, better sound with smaller file size, or rip to .wav if you want to edit in sound editing software. Fade in/fade out and adjustable gap between songs, auto song detect if you're recording tape or vinyl record. Good organization & control of your files, skins to suit every taste, burns disks if you want, It's not free, but it's one of the best.

True, but .ra files aren't my favorite storage format anyway; I don't keep many except for a few funny ones I've grabbed from time to time. For those, and .ra content online, I just use Real One player, configured to only pop-up the small player, not the huge media window. I seldom see it. Is .ra content really that much of an issue for anybody?

 

I use the Creative media player that came with my Soundcard Soundblaster Audigy 2 Platinum ZS....it allows me to mix my mp3s out to 7.1 using something called CMSS winamp will only do 2 for me or at least thats all winamp 2 would do.

I use Winamp 5 for audio and ZoomPlayer Standard for video. I don't watch DVDs on my pc, my Home Cinema does a better job of playing them.

Winamp 5 will play the following (some require plugins, and the video files play better on Zoom Player):
mp3, mp2, mp1, aac, wma, mid, midi, rmi,kar, miz,mod, mdz, nst, stm, stz, s3m, s3z, it, itz,xm, xmz, mtm, ult, 669, far,amf, okt, ptm, ogg, cda,wav,voc,au, snd, aif, aiff, nsv,nsa, mpg, mpeg m2v, avi, asf, wmv, mpc, mp+, mpp,m3u,, pls.
