It seems that whenever I try to start Internet Explorer, AIM, Disk Cleanup, Outlook Express or anything else associated with the internet, I get an error saying the application has encountered a problem and needs to close. The MODNAME is always the same for all the error messages wininet.dll Am I right to assume it is missing or corrupt? I did the whole malware scan in the read & run me first section and came up with quite a few little nasties hiding in the bowels of my computer.... Now all scans say it is squeeky clean, but the wininet.dll still seams to be a monkey wrench in my pc. Does it need to be reinstalled, and if so, what directory?? Nothing like a small machine to make a person feel so inferior.........
