What OS?

    Soo, me and some friends are planning on going all out and building a server for hosting games and whatnot...

    and I was wondering... what OS do we need to use to support ... for lack of better terms, huge amounts of RAM? we're talkin... maybe idk... in the range of 64-128gb of it..

    I figured probably Linux, but is there a specific flavor of it I need? Or is there some other OS I can use? Windows Server perhaps? I wouldn't mind trying to work it w/ Linux, because I have some experience with it...but I'd rather not deal w/ the learning curve..
