What ram?

Im purchasing parts for a new system so far i have

sb audigy2
6800gt BFG
1GB ddr (need to know which one)
amd 64 3200+ winchester
80gb sata

Now, which ddram to choose?

Or does someone reccomend somthing better? i cant go beyond 280-290$ on the ram.

Also anyone reccomend a board? im looking at MSI platinum one...

 

Just realized the higher the PCxxxx the more bandwidth it has; but will my cpu/mobo use that badwidth beyond pc3200 w/o oc'ing?

without overclocking you won't benefit from having pc4000 ram,


pc3200 runs 400mhz (200mhz x2) so fill run synchro with your cpu.

i also recommend ram that can run timings near 2-2-2-5

OCZ platinum edition rev2

i always used and will always use OCZ ram...

this is my recommendation..

funny i went ahead and purchased OCZ el plat rev2 1gb a few minutes after my post....read reviews on it and it seemed like the best choice
