What should come first protection or removal ?.:-o​

I have been surfing safely for years, using AVG, & Zonealarm, and not clicking on obvious malware type sites and links.
But............
My eldest daughters using my computer:cry and facebook have landed me in trouble via a browser / google redirect worm virus.
( it redirects through copybook.com through google searches)

I have tried EVERYTHING to no avial.
I intend to reformat and start again so.........................
I ask you blokes, and gals, what do you consider to be the BEST ( for value for money and effectiveness) anti virus, worm trojan, software to use when surfing?
So many sites seem to be poisoned these days!

As soon as you have finished the new clean Windows XP installation, and all your drivers are installed, I recommend that you immediately install your internet protection software before doing any surfing. Listed below are my personal favorites:
Avira's AntiVir (top notch FREE virus protection and removal)
MalwareBytes AntiMalware (no real-time protection in the free version, but the paid version's protection is EXCELLENT! The free version is a top notch malware scan/removal tool)
Comodo Internet Security (combines one of the highest rated firewalls -free or paid- with excellent virus protection; 100% free)
Comodo BOClean (free real-time virus/malware protection)
I also really like the free version of Online Armor, and Dynamic Security Agent, which is also free. Both programs are firewalls with many other features. Spyware Terminator is another great free app for real-time spyware/malware protection; rated 4.58 stars out of five, with 275 votes here at Major Geeks.
