Iam really into PC gaming and I need a new video card. I currently have a geforce 7300GS. Iam planning on upgrading to windows vista when it comes out so I would like to have a card that can support direct X 10. The only card I know of that supports dirrect X 10 is the geforce 8800, and Iam not about the spend $500 for it. So my question is will there be any low end graphics coming out in the near furture that support dirrect X 10?
Also, I was thinking about just getting the geforce 7900. What is this card like? Would it be better to get the 7800 or the 7600? Iam guessing that the 7900 is better than the 7800 and the 7600. Am I correct?

Right nows not a good time to purchase a video card in my opinion, due to that fact that as far as i know the only card currently on the market to do dx 10 native is the 8800. I would stick with your 7300 for a few months yet until there are a few more cards doing dx 10 so you have some choices.

there should be more cards coming out soon for dx10, not sure for sure though

Yes the 7900 is a better card than the 7600 and 7800 but there are submodels like the 7900GS, 7900GT, 7900GTX, 7800GT, 7800GTX, 7600GT, 7600GS all performing differently. Id wait for more DX10 cards before you get another card. You'll be glad you waited by the time DX10 comes around.
