I'm surprised you all don't use Spybot.

Also Ooooops, I wouldn't be bouncing emails if I were you. That just tells them your account is active.

It used to be a deterrent, but not anymore.

 

Not really, both Spybot and Adaware (especially with all the plugins and slightly more aggressive settings) do a pretty similar job as far as scanning is concerned.

One finds things the other doesn't find, but it's never really anything major or concerning, usually third party cookies.

I use both and Spybot does have a few advanced features and tools that some of the others don't have, handy for analysis or tweaking, but again nothing major.

Still, you can't argue with the price.

 

Comment about Spybot S&D, Is very good would reccomend to anybody, but if you run AdAware, Spybot will find nothing so it seems to be unnecessary to run both for general cleanup

I use both AdAware and Spybot. I find they work well together, if one doesn't find it, the other will. Great programs! Easy to use too, for newbies like me.

 

You guys should try SpySweeper , nice spyware, adware detector.. Also detects trojans, keyloggers, tracking cookies..It also protects homepage, ie favorites, etc.. It has 80,000+ fingerprints in it's database. But to get the best out of it is too register the product(my opinion). More information on the site.

 

I just got rid of Trend because it was lagging my comp bad... Anyways now im back with ZoneLabs...heres my software again(updated)

Is AdAware good?? cause all of you guys that posted have that..

 

Adaware is very good.

Make sure you get all the plug ins as well, and go into the settings and adjust it rather than leave it on default.
