Hi guys - still pretty new to the computing game. I was just wondering when I get the upgrade option sent through for Windows Vista - which ones should I install?? So har I have just been installing the recommended and important ones, do I need all of them??

I have heard installing some of the updates can sometimes make your computer performance poorer instead of enhancing it?

    Thanks guys..

    Hello There,

Just install the critical updates for vista and you should be fine, you dont need them all.

If you haven't noticed yet, you can tell Vista to hide those updates that you decide you don't want. Then, you won't have to see them each time an updates alert appears. So far, I think I've only declined 2 or 3 updates that were labeled "Optional", but I can agree with sexyandy81 that you should at least get any marked "Important" or "Critical" and you should be safe.
