What video driver do I have?

    I know for sure I have NVIDIA because it asked for "NVIDIA Windows 2000/XP Driver Library Installation Disk 1".

    I lost the driver disk somehow and wondering if I'm screwed.. or I can just download it off the net to install my VGA.

    Problem is I dont know what kind of graphic card I have. How do I find this out?

    I installed the http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_mobile_81.94.html but it says no compatible driver is found in the system.

    Does Windows try to install the Video driver when you boot to Windows? If so, does it give you a model of what NVidia card you have?

    There are tons of cards, without knowing the model its going to tough to get you the right driver.

    IS your PC a home build or a retail one from the likes of DELL, HP etc, if so what is the Make, Model name/version?

    From the look of the driver you were trying to install, do you have a laptop? again, the info above will help as BJ said track the correct driver down.

    Is there not a diagnostics app that will supply that info on this site??? Have a look for that. I have EVEREST Pro and find this info by using this prog.
