Did you upgrade FF to Quantum (v57)? It's much better but some extensions aren't there for it yet.

Slim Jet is Chrome based, and it seems to work well on an older XP PC here. Chrome and FF aren't working for me on that system...

im having an issue with ublock origin and streaming videos not loading completely,i guess alot of this was just to see if the issue was my adblocker or the actual web browser because ive loaded the same video on both internet explorer(newest version, without ublock origin)and firefox with ublock origin and the video played fine on internet explorer and i had the issue on firefox

It might be an issue with the site.
I have not had a single problem with uBlock Origin in Firefox 45.
I'll have a look if you want to post a link to the site.

Had the same video issue on the system I installed SlimJet on. Neither Chrome or FF would run video. SJ isn't affected. I used it before, and I think I will stick with it for that system.

Just checked and uBlock is available for SJ. I like this browser. It's only using like 300 MB RAM (only 2 tabs so far) and it's worth a look imho...

oh and it even says "add to chrome"next to the add ons,is it just because whatever they used to make google chrome they used to make this web browser

Yes, it's Chrome based but a fork of Chrome. The extensions will work but otherwise, it's simply developed off the core of chrome.

All of the browsers are either Chrome, Trident (Explorer), or Firefox based as far as I know, meaning they started with the open source element of the original that anyone can use...

I have uBlock Origin on XP and have had the same problem in Chrome, so I'll try removing the extension to see if it's the extension that's causing the problem. The extensions are updated, so maybe an update of uBlock broke the video idk...

Removed UBO and video is still broken on Chrome. As mentioned video is working in SlimJet for me but without uBlock Origin. Im using Slimjet's own Adblocker. No idea if its any good though...

maybe it really was an issue with ublock origin, because ever since i installed adblock plus im not having the same issue

I just fired up FF ESR with uBlockOrigin installed and watched a 16 1/2 min. video.

My normal browser is Palemoon, also with uBO installed and I've had no streaming issues with that either.

what is FF ESR? because i dont seem to have the issue with adblock plus but ublock origin seemed to block more stuff, there's still ads on webpages that get through with adblock plus

oh and i unchecked the box for allowing acceptable ads,i think this was part of the reason i picked ublock origin over adblock plus

maybe ill try that and see if i have the same issue, because i dont know.after replacing ublock origin with adblock plus i think im remembering why i didnt like adblock plus before.alot of the ads and stuff that ublock origin blocked arent being blocked with adblock plus

or do i just need to mess with the filters and stuff with adblock plus to fix that

I am just trying out the new firefox quantum and I really like it alot. It has potential to beat Google Chrome.

I have been using Pale moon for a few months, with adblock and it seems ok, in windows 8.1, and windows 10.
I actually prefer it to Edge, and Google.
I don't seem to have video problems with it.

The new FF Quantum seems 10x better than previous. I recommend taking a look. No plug-in hangs anymore, and its fast. Plug-in Container is completely gone now.

Moz claim is it uses less memory although Im not seeing that for now here, but it does seem to manage resources waaaaay better than previous versions...super light and so on. Only issue is extension support for the new FF is not available for some of the popular extensions, including security. Still, good moves Mozilla...:)

well apparently i had the same issue with adblock plus that i did with ublock origin.so maybe it really is an issue with firefox and not ublock origin

although,i just loaded up a video that didnt load completely with firefox with ublock origin installed and it seems to be loading fine with palemoon and ublock origin so maybe firefox was my problem
