    Hey Guys,
I know it's still Christmas day, but I was curious as to what some of you here got as gifts?
I got almost all the tech tools I asked for (Power Supply Tester, HD adapter cables, Crimpers/RJ-45 connectors etc.) I got a few books among other things.

Cool man! What, no socks or sweaters?:p:-D What kind of a PSU tester is it, one that can put a real life load on it like in a shop?

I just got a bottle of real good single malt, 10 year old Glen Breton Scotch, the only single malt distillery in North America. A tad expensive for me at $88 for 750ml's but very nice for a special occasion. That should be just perfect to sip after our duck done Peking style, should cut right through the fat. We'll have to fight for the crispy skin!:drool

Hmmm, Scotch... What time should I show up Augie? :-D While the most expensive is not always better, every time I try a more expensive Scotch, I always like them better. :cry Thank God for my source.

I haven't opened my stuff yet, but I did treat myself to a small bottle of Maker's Mark. Dang that made a nice cup of coffee this afternoon.

I also ordered my concealed carry holster for Mr.'s Smith and Wesson. And have almost enough cash to get an entry level reloading setup. I was good to myself this year.

    Merry Christmas!

My big Christmas was last Sunday, and I won't be done until January 8th. But so far...ankle-length fleece nightgown (probably the thing I'm most excited about...it gets stupid cold here), one of the coolest Igloo coolers I've seen, and a new lined hoodie.

Oh, and of course assorted stuff in my stocking: trail mix, jerky, candy, hand lotion, dental floss, Shout wipes, Burt's Bees lip stuff, a couple of 4GB flash drives, several cord minders for charger cords, and a small travel bag for my camera and its cords.

Notice how all Scrooge like Augie got when I mentioned me having a glass of his Christmas cheer... :-D I don't blame you, I keep the good beers in the crisper, and have 2 places for the hard stuff. Inexpensive stuff in one, the good stuff in another. So when someone wants a beer, sure, grab one... They just see the Miller Lite.

I get some surprising deals at times. Sometimes even free stuff... :cool

It's a small one. I'm not sure if you can put load on it or not. I went with my dad and I got a hoodie, and an 8GB Ipod touch.

I did not request anything so I did not receive anything. This year has been tight as I have entered my first extension for EDD benefits. Our CIF (Cash In Fist) system was about 1/5 of previous budgets.
I did get a weird shaped bottle of coke and some Australian Liquorice. My 3 year old grandson did well thanks to Black Friday sales as his budget was not entirely cut. :)

I got a varied lot of items. The usual after shave deodorant sets, (okay, it's summer here, so they will get used); various chocolate items, (one girl bought me some Belgian chocolate Santa sculpture and another Santa, complete with sled and Reindeers, LoL) They just look way too good to eat.; a young kid even gave me a Teddy bear, LoL!; a few people gave me various clocks, (they think I am a clock freak, because I like to see the time wherever I look, eh); bottles of single malt scotch, (Glen Moray), wine, (various local vintages), rum,(Appleton Estate, Mount Gay), etc.; and various other junk. A friend built a heap of built-in shelves for the office for nothing - which would have been pretty expensive, actually, to sort out my stuff and clutter here.
I think I got pretty spoiled this year, actually.;)

    Merry Christmas everyone.

I didn't actually:cry I treated myself to two boxes of Nike sports socks at the beginning of December so my mum didn't get me any Christmas socks :cry

I didn't get much this year at all everyone is totally broke my mum got me some ear protectors with volume control which was pretty cool as I been wanting some for a while and that's it.

I had a pretty cool Christmas though a friend of the family brought his two kids round a 4 year old girl and 6 year old boy so the night before I made them a giant cracker from cardboard boxes, wrapping paper and filled it w2ith little stocking fillers and me being me put a small wile coyote explosive device inside:-D It was just 5 party poppers inside a bean tin connected with string but it worked although not very loud, the kids were made up and so was I:) got a video of them pulling it somewhere?

I cooked a 6lb rib of beef too for dinner which came out really great even though a little rare for people but it was perfect for me using my radio transmitting thermal probe:-D Dude I'm seriously I just watched Leverage on TV until the probe said 71C then took it out:yum I then set the oven to 206C and put a PS3 motherboard in it to reflow the solder and it worked a charm:-D

Good Christmas all in all,You get up to or anything Kes?

I was feeling so festive and totally in the holiday spirit and then Christmas day came and it was probably one of the worst. I had a friend who's van got stolen sometime between Christmas eve & Christmas morning with all their presents, all his work tools and their carseat inside. I mean what kind of a scumbag does that? seriously?? ugh frustrating! Another friend is going through a tough time because her grandmother died a few weeks back and her mother is subsequently going crazy (they are like family to me and I went to give her mom the gift I bought for her, she told me she didn't want it.. ouch).

Aside from that this is the first year I actually told people what I wanted (when they asked) which is usually something I never do because I never really expect anything but this was something I really needed and what do I not get?... those items.. I understand people are broke (all I asked for gift card to a particular store, nothing expensive), and I don't mean to sound like an ungrateful jerk, but why even ask if you aren't going to get it? so really disappointed about that because I can't afford them myself which is why I asked but oh well, that's life I suppose. As for what I did get, 2 tops, a coat, a bath set, a purse, candle, some costume jewelery, a blanket, a book & assorted snacks. Not a shabby haul if I do say so myself.

/sorry, needed to get that rant out.. LOL
