Now I new there was dvd + and dvd- but why does there have to be 50 million different RW this and R that so that when you come home after your purchase and try to save some data your dvd drive doesnt recognise the disk.
I am soooooooo friggin made right now and I cant go back and exchange for the second time.

The Rw wars between differing formats was fierce kinda like VHS and Beta with both sides dug in hence the mutipile formats........I just gave up when DVD/CD's came down to less than $0.20 a piece why bother..........now would anyone like a neat CD/DVD model of the Eiffel Tower made from 100 discarded CD/DVD's????????

Ouch. that sux, radstar. Ur best option would be to get a drive that will read both types of dvds/cds. Most drives will read both types of cds but not every comp manufacturer makes DVD readers that can read/write both.

I agree with BCGray, rewritables are just too problematical. Get yourself a 1 or 2gb USB flash drive and a spindle pack of dvd-r and cd-r. Save your data to them, they all are cheap as chips now.
