whats a good pci video card for £60 to £90

i am looking for a friend they ask me what would be good to get for £60 to £90 i dont know how much that is in $ lol its got to be pci the video card they are useing now is a 82810E intel video and everyone knows that onboard video is no good so anything would be better lol its got to beable to play doom3 and fantastic 4 anynew game

It seems you can only get either a 9200 or 9250 for ATI.

Any PCI card would be far from OK for recent games like these. The 9250 PCI core/memory clock speeds are only 250/240 (agp is 400/250) and pixel fillrate of 62.5 Mpixels/sec (agp is 1 Gpixel/sec) and many features arent on that card. They just cant do the job.

 

They can at lower resolutions, with everything turned off.

 

But thats just plain ugly and sucks. Oh well, it's better than onboard.
