This is driving me nutty... a little while ago my PC was throwing blue screens like crazy. First once every other day or so, then every day, then multiple times a day. Now, early on I managed to notice one pointing specifically to my Logitech gamepad driver. "Woohoo!" I thought, that was easy, so I reinstalled it and I had a nice break... but they returned.

I had to leave town at the point when it got bad so I figured I'd just go ahead and reformat when I got home, since I was about due for one anyway. I return home from my computer being off for a week and a half, appearing as if all it needed was a nice break! (I never turn my PC off) I am blue screen free for about 3 weeks. Then I had to move, got my computer re-setup, and here I've been for about another 2 1/2 weeks, and they've returned. :/

Got 3 in one day, so I figure I should probably do that reformat. Been all fresh and clean for less than 24hrs now and OH HI HERE'S A BSOD. -.- I have the dump attached, hoping someone can help me out here. I can't imagine what is still causing this... it points to a driver.. ??? I still had a couple drivers I needed to update and I've done so. I've been running 64 bit Win7 for about 3 years now with all the same hardware, aside from upgrading the video card but even that was several months ago. Nothing else major that I can think of that I changed or added, all my PC's innards are as old or newer than my last OS instal, so I can't imagine anything going bad. I DID run memtest with no issues there.

Just waiting now to see if/when this happens next. :[

Here is a clue. If it is the Logitech Gamepad that is causing it, that would be why. Remove it all together, uninstall the driver, and see if it blue screens again.

It's not though... at least I don't think it is. It was only one of the dumps awhile back that mentioned the logi driver.

The dumps do not mean anything. Look in the Event Viewer in Administrative tools, or when the next BSOD comes up, it will state what is causing it. 99.99% of the problems that cause BSOD are hardware or driver issue.s

We need the dump file not a text file describing which type it is, copy any *.dmp files from C:\"Windows\Minidump to your Desktop, zip it/them and attach the resulting zip file please.

I've looked at the event viewer, the last event before the reboot was 3hrs beforehand... so it doesn't show anything happening at all. :confused

I keep getting errors trying to attach the dump zip so I've uploaded it (400mb dump file wtf); http://whitewolf.denofwolves.com/temp/MEMORY.zip

Wow, crazy... that would make sense, seeing as how I'd just installed Daemon shortly before the BSOD. Any more info as to why it happens, other than it's just a "known issue"? I tried searching and that's all I could seem to find, have another Win7 system that this has never been a problem on.

Anyhow... thanks a ton in advance if was in fact the culprit!

Many times with crashes 'probably' caused by 3rd party drivers it's impossible to tell exactly what/where the incompatibility lies - the majority of users just don't seem to get these problems or the driver 'at fault' would be updated very quickly!

It may be an unusual combination of factors/drivers that triggers it, just a little 'tweak' already installed, plus a modified Registry entry, and a missing update somewhere may be enough - who knows ...
