    Hi!
    I DownLoaded A Program From The "Driver Tools" Section Of This Site Called "GLSetup" In Which Case, I Keep Having A Problem Installing It!
    The Program Is Supposed To Detect You're Graphics Card For Windows!
    I Press "Continue",Then "Next" Then It Looks Likes It's Gonna DownLoad And Install But Then An Error Message Comes Up With:"Could Not Communicate To The Network Server,Error 1"
    This Never Happend Before And This Only Leads Me To Beleive That This Program Is Probably Too Old Work On Any Windows System Anyway!
    Now I Also Spotted Another Program To DownLoad On This Site Called:"GLDirect"!
    What I Wanna Know About This Program Is,
    Does This Work Like The "GLSetup" Program !?
    And If I DownLoad And Install This Program,Will It Detect My 3d Graphics Card !?

    Your correct, you do not need this program, its pretty dated, plus in beta form at last release.

    It would be easier to remove your cover and look at the graphic card at this rate. If you know your computer make or motherboard we might be able to tell what card it is.

    I think your looking in the wrong area, try some of the more popular programs in the System Info category, maybe Belarc Advisor

    Would It Be Possible For You To Tell Me What GLDirect Does And Would It Detect Any 3d Graphics Card On A Windows System !?

    I made a mistake. Didnt look, was thinking GLSetup, I apologize. What are you trying to do or what problem are you having, may be we can point you to the right program. My understanding is GLDirect lets you run OpenGL programs on DirectX hardware, but not sure why you would need that nowadays.. Years back there was OpenGL, Direct3D and Glide for video cards, oddly enough most liked OpenGL, Glide and Direct3D last, now Glide is dead, OpenGL keeps kicking, but most games are coming Direct3d. If you have a newer video card from the last 4 or 5 years, it should be a non issue for you.

    OpenGL = Half-Life 1 legacy support. ;)

    But, yeah, drivers from ATI and nVidia both have OpenGL support built-in, and Glide is dead, dead, dead.

    I play Counter-Strike in OpenGL still, like I said, back then Direct 3D blew chunks. I miss Glide, they were the upstarts man :)

    Yeah, well, they were dumb enough to try to be a proprietary upstart. That takes balls, but it's really not conducive to creating a new standard. IMX, Direct3D still doesn't work so well with the Halflife engine. Quake3 is better, but sometimes you get better performance with OpenGL. Probably has to do with what the engine designers coded for and were familiar with.

    Of course, Longhorn is supposed to replace Direct3D with some new standard (they're actually going to use 3D modeling to run the desktop because it ends up being more efficient to let the GPU handle everything.
