Whats the best free virus protection?

Hi, someone recommended me to find a free virus protection here, and i dont really understand the virus-malware-spyware thing too well, so if you know a good tool that can protect my computer from internet viruses and stuff please tell me! It has to be free please.

AVG 9

Avira

I personally, use AVG9. It has worked well for me, and I have had no problems. Just download ONE of them, not both. By giving you two, you have a choice.. . All you have to do, is click the name, and you will be taken to the download page. Just follow the instructions. Under DOWNLOADS, just click on the " Download@MajorGeeks " and your AV will download then just follow the prompts for installing it.

Only 1 antivirus, but multiple antispyware programs are allowed and work good together.
SuperAntiSpyware, MalwareBytes and SpywareBlaster seems to cover my bases pretty good.
