Whats the fastest free download manager

Im using leech get but it has problems, is there a better one someone could recommend.

 

what kind of downloader you talking about?
A fast normal downloader (from websites, http...) is Internet Download Manager, but it has some spyware/adware... a pretty good, free, spyware free downloader is Star Downloader... goto www.stardownloader.com

If its for torrents, I have read some good reviews on uTorrent. goto www.utorrent.com

If its for p2p try WarezP2P. goto www.warezp2p.com (or even try ShareAza). heard good things about em both...

He's not talking about p2p clients, he's talking about download managers, hence the term "leechget".


You can try Get Right or Download Accelerator Plus (free version is ad supported).

I use DAP, and it's OK, but I don't find it faster than normal.

Internet Download Manager and Fresh are supposedly OK, but I've never tried them.

 

I tried Dap but when I installed I got all these warning about it was causing errors. with this and that, I would post it but it didnt let me copy it. Man, my comp is freaking out. I have all these virus warnings, adware.BUO things and other .something but that address is my search engine, that thing you can add to your tool bar, but I dont know how to remove it.

 

I've had good results with Free Download Manager, but I haven't performed any speed comparisons.

 

you know they should have a floated post about download managers because there are soooooooo many threads.

 

John, the warnings you are getting is because DAP contains ads as I informed you, so most AntiVirus and Spyware programs will flag it as being Adware.

Either use a download manager which doesn't have ads, or set up your scanners to ignore DAP.
