What's using my FTP port?

I live out in the Boonies, so I'm stuck with using dial-up. Always fun. I have Toast.net and it uses an accelerator.

Anyway, after returning to my computer after leaving for a few hours, I came back to this message:

Another application is listening on the FTP port. Toast.net Accelerator ftp features will be disabled for this session. To re-enable them, find the other application using the FTP port, disable it, then restart Toast.net Accelerator.

Then, I clicked OK and got this message:
Another application is listening on the IMAP email port (143). Toast.net Accelerator IMAP features will be disabled for this session. To re-enable them, find the other application using port 143, disable it, then restart Toast.net Accelerator.

Then, I clicked OK and got this message:
Another application is listening on the POP3 email port (110). Toast.net Accelerator POP3 email features will be disabled for this session. To re-enable them, find the other application using port 110, disable it, then restart Toast.net Accelerator.

How do I find out what program(s) may be using these? Before I start running a ton of scans, which I plan to do anyway, I thought maybe it'd be good to see what's happening in those ports.

I'm using Windows XP Home, and am not networked.

    Thanks!

I know it's not the greatest, but I do have Norton Firewall. Will these conflict?

I would still like to learn how to check out the ports. Can anyone tell me how to do this?

    Thanks for the help!

You don't want 2 software firewalls running at the same time. Yes, they will conflict.

Please see this post on how to close specific ports.

I've attached the results from netstat -ano in two separate files. Can someone help me interpret them? I omitted the middle section (several screenfuls of sequential lines that were all similar to the lines that say TIME-WAIT.

I'm going to try the other suggestion of Port Monster next, but it's 6 mb, so I should be done downloading by next week sometime. :)

Attached are Port Monster results here. So, do these look normal? What should I do now?

Okay, I went to this cool thing and I closed one of my ports (for the service RPC) and the computer informed me it was shutting down. I do get ahead of myself sometimes. When I rebooted, the little IE logo next to my website addresses was changed from the blue e that Microsoft uses to some kind of a blue L. Is there any way for me to get rid of that thing in the address line?

That didn't happen to me, so I think I'll have to stay out of this one. I don't understand it well enough yet to offer anyone assistance. Hopefully, one of the guys that helped me will answer you.
