Whats wrong with my CD-R and DVD drivers?

    I'm running win xp pro, pent4 on soyo/mb and have downloaded all of the patches and drivers recommended by microsoft update.
    I have a yamaha crw 3200e writer and a Creative DVD 1241e player. Neither of which will recognize applications that were
    priviously burned. WHATS UP WITH THAT????
