Ok, we've taken the IQ test. Anyone up for the Tickle Happiness Test?

I scored higher than 20% and I'm at a really low time in my life right now. (I'm not a whiner so I will spare everyone the boring details...) They were correct about my level of confidence, although I DO feel sorry for those 20%! I would be interested to see others' scores.

    Peace,
    Gina

Walter, you're happier than 62 percent of the other people who took Tickle's Happiness Test.</SPAN>

How do Tickle's experts know this? Because they measured your overall happiness level in relation to other test takers. To do this, they examined your attitudes and behaviors in the seven proven areas of life that are known to determine your happiness: Contentment, Confidence, Gratitude, Personal Growth, Cheerfulness, Relationships, and Optimism.

For example, your test results show that your relationships help you feel happier overall. This means that you often find joy in the people who make up your support network. You may also tend to gravitate toward communities that mirror your values. Because you ordinarily feel comfortable relating to other people, you can gain a real sense of belonging and connection.

I found it too quite interesting because I'm a very social creature and enjoy meeting and talking with other people. This is probably one of the main reasons I like the MG site so much...a wide range of knowledge, culture, beliefs and experiences.

Normally, I could say the same and if I took this test at any other time in my life I would have scored much higher... I just lost 5 best friends in 3 years (4 to death and 1 has been missing since October) and now my relationship is falling apart. THIS is why I scored so low. I have been an occasional visitor to MG in the past but I guess you all will be seeing much more of me now... (I am trying to stay optimistic.)

    Peace,

LOL! Well, having the level- headedness, knowlege, and desire for common good? That's gotta be worth something.

Guess I am not doing that bad. I am going to pass on the personalized Plan for Happiness though. I think the plan I have is working well for me.

Ok, I'll have to let you win on this one but only because I have no control over the situation... If it were my (and many other members on MG's) choice we would definitely vote you in!

After dealing with the 847 popups/unders that Tickle seems to think we all want to see (I don't want NetZero, I don't want to see A Cinderella Story, I don't want to elect George Bush, I don't need to buy any feminine products right now).....

The funny thing is that I often find myself in communities which not only do NOT mirror my values, they outright mock and attack them.

i was only happier than 58% of other people, and i thought i was at least happier than 75% of other people , so im dissapionted !!
either im not as happy as i think i am,
other people are happier than i think they are,
people are cheating when they take the test.

apparently im happy because of my self confidence....so that would fit.

laurieB, don't feel bad (no pun intended :D) ALL of these online tests are for "entertainment purposes only". They're not scientifically rigorous.

Heck, I go home alone every night and have a son that's convinced I'm Jeffrey Daumer and hasn't spoken to me in years, and I scored at 98%. And I answered the questions honestly. I AM pretty comfy with myself, but if I'm representative of the 98% mark in overall happiness, this is a sad sad world.

Wanting money for their "Personalized Plan For Happiness" is downright fraud.

i think anyone living in hawaii ought to get at least 75% . i agree with you on the personallized happiness plan though. what is sad is the number of desperate people that will buy into that.

About a year ago, I signed up for their free trial (or maybe it wasn't free, but it was certainly less than $10.00). I then took ALL of the premium tests they had, saved the results, and then cancelled the membership. I still have them. :) Sure, it's a ripoff if you only do one, but if you average it out over all of them offered, it's not too bad. :D

    The Happiness Test

Mag00, you're happier than 88 percent of the other people who took Tickle's Happiness Test.

For example, your test results show that your level of personal growth is one of the things that helps you feel happier overall. This means that for the most part you are actively focused both on exploring yourself and expanding your life's impact. You may also tend to view your existence as a glorious work in progress. Being guided by this strong sense of purpose can help you feel capable of changing things for the better, for yourself as well as for others.

    I guess I'm not perfect....yet :)

you're happier than 92 percent of the other people who took Tickle's Happiness Test.

For example, your test results show that your level of cheerfulness is one of the things that helps you feel happier overall. This means that for the most part you have a good-natured disposition and can take blissful delight in even the smallest things. You may also tend to be in good spirits more often than not. By seeking out humor even in hard times, you can keep your life filled with laughter. While your cheerfulness has a positive impact on how happy you are, it's still not the biggest factor that affects your overall happiness.

    Do I get a prize :D 92% Who knew :D
Or maybe I am too simple-minded to be bugged about stuff :)
