when a demo prog expires what is it that it places on your pc that stops you from erasing it and re installing? is it in the registry? and whats more how easy is it to find and remove?

    What's the program, sport?

Some, like Mcafee and Norton have dozens of registry references and need special tools to erase.

Others you can just work through the reegistry with regedit and delete all references to the program and any from the author that refer to that program. obviously the authors may have more than one program so you have to be more careful here.

If you find the demo program useful and want to re-install it, after the initial trial has expired, most MG members here, would suggest you buy it. ;) Bazza

Maybe, if you told us what it was, someone here could recommend a free alternative.

Inappropriate responses have been removed from this thread. If you like it, buy it, otherwise uninstall it, or look for a free alternative, which you probably should have done in the first place :)

no pal, the mod, and co-owner major attitude removed most of the thread, and then the posters all realised that we shouldnt really discuss dodgy doings like the method to get longer out of trialware, if you want to sit there and post stuff like that instead of helping and having your opinion heard by people and fellow geeks, then leave the forum, because that helps noone! :D :major i-CONICA :major
