I just started using EaseUS ToDo Backup to create my first image backup and an Emergency (Recovery) disk. I am wondering what my strategy should be as to when I create image backups? So I am curious of when you folks create these image backups? What makes you decide that you need the backup at any particular time? What might have happened to cause you to create the backup?

    Thank you.

I run a full backup on the 1st of the month, a differential every Monday & incremental Tues to Fri.

I admit that I don't back up my system diligently, but I have my own backup batch file that backs up my code for me. I should add a version that performs an incremental or differential back up (What's the difference?). What I have now removes from the backup rebuildable files (i.e. executables and intermediary files) as it backs up source code. If anybody here wants, I can post here the batch file plus one to supply the current date, as the main file attaches the date stamp to the back up. BTW, it uses 7Zip to compress the files.

I admit that my strategy backs up to my hard drive, but, as long as my hard drive is intact, since I'm using 7Zip, I can restore them to anywhere. Right now, I have three 64GB flash drives to which to copy the information, so I can use them.
